Pendleton to join Strictly Come Dancing

Olympic medal winner Victoria Pendleton will take to the dance floor in the new series of the BBC show, Strictly Come Dancing.

Pendleton has retired from cycling and had previously spoken of her desire to take part in the dancing contest.

Other contestants include fellow medal winner Louis Smith, Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh, actress Dani Harmer and Westlife's Nicky Byrne.
