Hollywood star for comedian Ellen DeGeneres
Comedian and television host Ellen DeGeneres has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
American Idol presenter Ryan Seacrest paid tribute to her ''integrity, generosity, her good spirit and humour''.
At the ceremony Ellen DeGeneres recalled how she had seen the Walk of Fame while on holiday in Hollywood with her family.
She has been awarded the 2,477th star.
