Suggs stars in an Edinburgh Festival show about his life
Suggs from Madness told 5 live about starring in his autobiographical Edinburgh Fringe Festival show My Life in Words and Music.
Speaking to Richard Bacon, he revealed that he had an epiphany about his life on his 50th birthday while lying in the bath just as his cat plunged to its death by his side.
He also explained just how he managed to get on the roof of Buckingham Palace for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert in June.
