Joan Rivers pays tribute to Phyllis Diller who has died
The veteran American comedian, Phyllis Diller, has died in Los Angeles at the age of 95.
She created an onstage persona of a wild-haired, eccentrically dressed housewife, with a husband called Fang and a distinctive crackling laugh.
Mrs Diller was nearly 40 when she began performing and had a long-term on-screen partnership with Bob Hope, appearing in many of his films and television shows.
Joan Rivers paid tribute to her on 5 liveUp All Night.
