Ellie Goulding: 'I feel like a new artist'
Ellie Goulding says she was determined not to write about love for her second album, Halcyon, but found that she couldn't avoid it.
The singer songwriter says she went to write the album while going through a break-up and found herself writing "sad songs".
She told the BBC that she feels like a "new artist" after making a follow-up to her 2010 debut album, Lights - which is currently having success in the US.
Her single of the same title is currently riding high in the US charts - and Goulding admits that is a surprise to her as she didn't think it was one of her best.
