Kronos Quartet marry analogue sounds with string music for Proms
Kronos Quartet - one of the most acclaimed contemporary string quartets in the world - have been rehearsing at the BBC's Maida Vale Studios in preparation for their Proms concerts as part of London's cultural Olympiad.
They spoke with Alexander Kan from the BBC's Russian Service about collaborating with Canadian composer Nicole Lizée on her piece 'The Golden Age of the Radiophonic Workshop' in which vintage analogue instruments and sounds are integrated with concert music.
