Christian Bale, who plays Batman in The Dark Knight Rises, has visited the survivors of last week's cinema shooting who are in hospital in Aurora in Colorado.

James Holmes, 24, is accused of killing 12 people and injuring 58 others at a midnight showing of the new Batman film last Friday.
