Nik Kershaw on life away from being a 1980s teen idol

Help

During the 1980s, Nik Kershaw was regularly found playing guitar on Top of the Pops with rolled-up shiny sleeves and his trademark spiky hair.

At the height of his fame, the musician was a teen idol spending 50 weeks in the singles chart in 1984.

In recent years he has written and produced for artists like Sir Elton John, and now he is releasing a new album.

The 'I Won't Let The Sun Go Down On Me' singer spoke to BBC Breakfast about his career away from 1980s stardom.
