Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash gets Hollywood Walk of Fame star

Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash has been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The musician told fans gathered at the ceremony that it was a "huge honour" to be acknowledged in Hollywood.

Actor Charlie Sheen gave his support to his friend by speaking at the event.

Slash was the lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses from 1985 - 1996, leaving after a feud with lead singer Axl Rose, who is the only original member remaining with the band.
