Pop star Justin Bieber, who scored a number one album last week, has announced details of a six-date UK arena tour for 2013.

Dates on his Believe tour will begin at Manchester Arena on 19 February.

Bieber, whose hits include Boyfriend and Baby, rose to fame in 2009 but has toured the UK only once before.

He is not playing any shows in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, and is restricting his newly announced shows solely to English cities.

The teenage star's latest album, Believe, topped the chart this month.

Concert tickets will go on sale on Friday at 9am.
