Africa Beats: Kenyan soul singer Atemi Oyungu
In the sixth of a series showcasing Africa's musical talent, Atemi Oyungu performs her song Nairobi and talks about what inspired her to write it.
Kenyan soul singer Oyungu has been compared to musical greats like Miriam Makeba and Jill Scott.
She began to attract attention in her homeland with an all-girl group, Intu, and has starred in the Kenyan musical Mo Faya.
She released her first album, Hatimaye, in 2008, and her song Happy was a hit in the same year.
She is working on her second album, and plans to release it later this year.
