At the end of this month the Azerbaijani capital Baku is due to host the Eurovision Song Contest.

But some human rights groups like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have criticised the country's human rights record in the build-up to the contest.

Jamal Ali is a musician who was recently arrested and tortured for insulting the President, Ilham Aliyev.

He spoke to the BBC's Daniel Sandford in Baku.
