Saudi Arabia has a long held reputation for conservative social values and strict censorship of its media.

But following calls by King Abdullah for society to grow more open, the country's art scene has flourished and is now pushing the boundaries of long-held taboos.

Speaking from Art Dubai, the Middle East's largest art fair, Hamza Serafi, co-founder of Jeddah's Athr Gallery, gives his assessment of the changing face of Saudi art.
