A look back at career of BBC boss Mark Thompson
The director general of the BBC, Mark Thompson, has announced he is to step down in the autumn, after nearly eight years in the post.
Mr Thompson said during that time the Corporation had 'weathered a series of lively storms', as well as enjoying some very successful times.
