Lang Lang on preparing to play Beethoven's piano concertos

The classical pianist Lang Lang will perform Beethoven's piano concerto cycle for the first time in London.

He told BBC he did not attempt to play any of Beethoven's work until he was 20 years old because the compositions were an emotional challenge.

In preparation for the show, which will be held at the Royal Albert Hall, the pianist said he had to practise for five hours a day.
