Why Katie Melua returned to music

Katie Melua was just 19 when she released her first album Call off the Search, which reached the top of the UK charts.

But after her early success she told BBC Breakfast she need to take six months off after reaching "breaking point".

The Georgian-born British singer songwriter was inspired to come back to work after collaborating with an orchestra live on stage.

Melua said she built on the idea of making a record with an orchestra for her fifth album, Secret Symphony.
