How the Bafta statuette is made


In 1955 US sculptor Mitzi Cunliffe designed the award given to Bafta (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) winners - the famous theatrical mask trophy.

Patrick Helly, who has been making the Bafta trophies since 1978, gave the BBC a tour of the New Pro Foundries in Middlesex to see how the hand-made awards are produced.
