Daniel Radcliffe is starring in his first post-Harry Potter film - a gothic horror picture called The Woman in Black.

Radcliffe told Talking Movies' Tom Brook that he believes he will eventually be able to re-invent himself following his long running role as the boy wizard.

He said: "It's about proving you can step out and be successful away from a character you are obviously well known for."

"It's going to take a few films and a few performances and it's going to take a while for the perception to change," he added.

Talking Movies is broadcast on BBC World News on Saturday at 13:30 GMT and is repeated on Sunday at 00:30, 07:30 and 20:30 GMT.
