Steven Spielberg: 'War Horse is not a war movie'
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined stars on the red carpet at the UK premiere of Steven Spielberg's new film War Horse on Sunday night.
The film is an adaptation of Michael Morpurgo's novel about a boy who tries to track down his beloved horse during World War I. The film also follows a successful theatre production of the story.
In an exclusive television interview, the director told BBC Breakfast that his wife passed the Duchess of Cambridge a tissue while they were watching the film at the UK premiere.
The director added that the film is not a war movie and his intention was to "show how an animal can bring people together".
