Frank Ocean in Hollywood

Californian-born Frank Ocean has taken second place in the BBC's Sound of 2012 list, which aims to highlight the most promising new music for the year ahead.

The singer-songwriter is based in Los Angeles but spent most of his childhood in New Orleans - where he has developed a fan base.
