Madonna has signed a new deal to release her next three albums through Interscope Records.

Her first album since Hard Candy, which came out in 2008, will be released by the label, part of Universal Records.

The 53-year-old singer, whose new single is due out next month, will continue her 10-year partnership with Live Nation which was cemented in 2007.

Madonna previously released her records through Warner Music, the label she signed to in 1982.

The new deal is said to be part of a "broad plan" for the star's career, which includes the Live Nation deal covering music, tours, merchandise and other commitments.

It is said to be worth around $100m (£64m), while it is estimated that music releases make up around 40% of this total.

Madonna's manager Guy Oseary said: "We anticipate a very bright future at our new home."

Interscope chairman Jimmy lovine added: "Very rarely does an opportunity like this come around."

Madonna's new single, Gimme All Your Luvin', will be released at the end of January, ahead of her half-time performance at the Superbowl.

Her first Interscope album is as yet untitled.

Meanwhile, the singer's directorial debut about the life of Wallis Simpson, W.E., is due to be released in cinemas in February. It recently picked up two nominations for best song and best score at the Golden Globes.
