Celebrated crime fiction author PD James calls her two "great enthusiasms" in life the novels of Jane Austen and writing detective fiction.

The 91 year old baroness told Sophie Raworth that by fusing these two passions she has created a whoddunit sequel to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.

Her novel, Death Comes to Pemberley, picks up six years after the close of Austen's seminal work, with Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy thrust into a murder mystery.
