Royal Opera House broadcasts opera to 22 countries


The Royal Opera House has announced they are to stream performances to 700 cinemas across 22 countries.

Chief Executive of the Royal Opera House, Tony Hall, says the cinema launch is part of "opening up" opera to as many people as possible.

Internationally renowned soprano, Angela Gheorghiu, told BBC Breakfast that the Royal Opera House has been a pioneer for screening opera around the world.
