Tinchy Stryder and Jermain Defoe on school role models

Rapper Tinchy Stryder and Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe have attended a reception at 10 Downing Street ahead of the Spirit of London Awards.

The awards will celebrate the successes of young role models at a ceremony at Royal Albert Hall on 10 October.

Defoe said it was important to highlight positive achievements from young people.

Stryder said he wanted to be a part of the event because it "brings people together".
