Tony Parsons on becoming Heathrow's writer-in-residence
Novelist and journalist Tony Parsons has said he will be "spoiled for choice" for subject matter as he took up the post of Heathrow Airport's new writer-in residence.
The writer moved into a hotel at the west London airport on Wednesday and will stay for seven days, speaking to staff and travellers about their lives and journeys.
The Man and Boy author will then publish a collection of short stories called Departures: Seven Stories from Heathrow, 5000 copies of which will be given away free to passengers.
