Amy Winehouse dies at the age of 27
Singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead in her home in London.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed that a 27-year-old woman had died in Camden and that the cause of death was as yet unexplained.
The singer had suffered a long battle against drug and alcohol addiction which sometimes overshadowed her career.
BBC Radio 1 reporter Natalie Jamieson had interviewed Winehouse several times and said the singer was expected to release a follow up album to 2006's hugely successful Back to Black album.
