The Book of Mormon sweeps Drama Desk awards

Musical The Book of Mormon has picked up five honours at the Drama Desk Awards in New York, voted for by journalists and theatre critics.

The show, by the creators of South Park and Avenue Q, won awards for best musical, best lyrics, music, director and orchestrations.

Cole Porter's Anything Goes also won in five categories - including best musical revival and set design.

War Horse, based on Michael Morpurgo's novel, won the best play award.
