A line from an Alfred Tennyson poem has been chosen to be engraved on a wall in the heart of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games village.

The line "To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield", from Ulysses, was chosen as part of The Winning Words project which invited suggestions for a line of published poetry for the prominent wall in the athletes village.

The winning line of verse was announced on Radio 4's Front Row programme by competition founder, William Sieghart.
