The Jackal explains how to play ladies with a beard

Actor Edward Fox, best known for his lead role in The Day of the Jackal, has revealed he plays female characters in his new one-man show, despite sporting a large beard.

The Bafta-winner spoke to BBC Breakfast as he opens Edward Fox: Trollope in Barsetshire, in which he plays every role, including novelist Anthony Trollope and some of his best-loved characters.

Based on Trollope's Barchester Chronicles depicting country and clerical life in Victorian England, the play opens at Riverside Studios, London on Wednesday.
