Gnomeo and Juliet star admits a fear of gnomes

Help

Emily Blunt has told BBC Breakfast she had to overcome a fear of gnomes to make her latest animated film, Gnomeo and Juliet, a reworking of Romeo and Juliet about feuding garden gnomes.

The actress, who voices Juliet, also revealed it took executive producer Elton John 11 years to get the film made and described meeting the singer and his partner David Furnish, who acted as producer.

Gnomeo and Juliet, which also features the voices of Sir Michael Caine, James McAvoy and Hulk Hogan, is released in the UK on 11 February.
