Imperial Chinese robes exhibit in Europe for first time

Help

Robes worn by the emperors and empresses of the last ruling dynasty of China are being shown for the first time in Europe.

The pieces are on loan from the Palace Museum in Beijing, which stands on the site of the Forbidden City, the Chinese Imperial Palace.

The exhibition, at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, shows three centuries of historic royal garments from the time of the Qing dynasty.

Mishal Husain went to have a look.
