Gina McKee 'nervous' about playing King Lear's daughter
Actress Gina McKee has revealed she is "nervous" about playing eldest daughter Goneril in the upcoming production of King Lear, starring Derek Jacobi.
Speaking on BBC Breakfast, the actress explained she had never done a Shakespeare play before and had been surprised by how "organic" the learning process had been.
King Lear, the story of an ageing king who descends into madness after wrongly sharing his kingdom between his manipulative daughters, opens at the Donmar Warehouse, London on 3 December.
