Michael Ball: Welsh family history 'fascinating'

Help

West End singer Michael Ball has said tracing his Welsh roots on BBC programme Who Do You Think You Are? was "fascinating and quite upsetting".

The Hairspray star discovered his grandmother, who inspired his singing career, had herself sung for former British prime minister David Lloyd-George.

Mr Ball was speaking on BBC Breakfast ahead of his producing debut, bringing the musical Love Story to the West End.
