Schools 'need kitchen improvements' for free meals

More than 2,700 schools in England will need to improve their kitchens to provide free meals for infant school children.

Research by the BBC has found that some school kitchens require total refurbishment.

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has pledged that children will have a hot, healthy and free lunch for their first three years at school.
