The government's flagship Free Schools are under greater scrutiny than most because their very existence is part of a huge political debate about the direction of education policy.

Newsnight can reveal that a whistleblower sounded the alarm about one free school - Kings Science Academy in Bradford.

It has been the subject of an internal audit which questions where large sums of money have gone amid allegations of mismanagement, nepotism, and possible fraud.

Richard Watson reports.
