Sir Michael Wilshaw calls for overhaul of GCSE exams
The chief schools inspector in England, Sir Michael Wilshaw, says the time has come to consider a thorough overhaul of the GCSE examination system.
He told The Andrew Marr Show that educational standards are falling in relation to the rest of the world, and school children need an exam system that "stands up with the best in the world".
