Plan to replace GCSEs with O-levels
The Education Secretary, Michael Gove, plans to scrap GCSEs in secondary schools in England and return to O-level style exams.
The new papers would be set by a single exam board but Labour says Mr Gove needs to explain if his proposals would really improve standards for all pupils.
