New schools league tables 'more honest'

The Government says hundreds of secondary schools in England are failing to help their most disadvantaged pupils.

New information gathered to compile school league tables shows just a third of teenagers from disadvantaged homes gained at least five good GCSEs including Maths and English.

The Schools Minister, Nick Gibb, says the league tables now give more information than just about teaching standards and pupils' progress.
