Mother explains why she wanted to start her own school
Ark Conway Primary School in west London is one of 24 new community-led "free" schools that are opening as a result of the coalition government's initiative.
Emily Phillips talks about why she wanted to set up a new school for her daughter and how she feels now the school is ready to open.
She told the BBC that she "set the wheels in motion" and the Ark education charity brought in its expertise.
As with other free schools it will be state funded but outside local authority control.
