Questions over India's plans to revise factory laws

Indian manufacturers have welcomed plans for revamped factory laws, which will give employers more freedom to take on casual work.

However, some social activists have questioned why laws intended to protect workers' rights need to be revised.

In addition, questions remain as to whether the legal changes could lead to civil strife.
