Power shortages threaten India growth

India is facing severe power shortages, which become particularly acute amid increased demand during the summer.

Already businesses in the capital Delhi have been asked to make do without power for a few hours a day, and factories in many other parts of India also have to tackle electricity cuts.

The BBC's Shilpa Kannan reports on what this means for both people and industry.
