New regulations give online shoppers more rights

13 June 2014 Last updated at 15:38 BST

New regulations have come into place which give online shoppers better consumer rights.

Shoppers now have longer to cancel orders and 14 days to return a product unopened for a full refund, including postage costs.

The rules see the final stage of implementation of the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

Philip Smith from Trusted Shops explained the changes to BBC Radio 5 live's Wake Up to Money.
