Poland's path to a free market

The events that led up to the fall of the Berlin Wall can be traced back to Poland.

The activities of Solidarity trade union movement provided the catalyst for the fall of communism.

Since then Poland has embraced the free market - seeing steady economic growth for he past 25 years.

It was the only EU country to avoid recession in the last financial crisis.

Tanya Beckett has been to the shipyards in Gdansk - where it all started.
