Only 20% of British high street shops remain vacant

A survey suggests that the British high street may not be declining by as much as had been feared, following the collapse of big names including Woolworths, HMV and Oddbins.

An analysis shows that just 20% of high street stores remain vacant - while the figure is 29% in shopping centres, and nearly 40% on retail parks.

BBC business correspondent Emma Simpson reports from Weston-super-Mare.
