Ivory Coast tackles music piracy

Ivory Coast is home to some of the best-known musicians in Africa, such as Alpha Blondy, Tiken Jah Fakoly and Magic System.

Music piracy though is a major problem. It is estimated that around 80% of potential revenues are lost to boot-legged CDs and illegal downloads.

But a unique project is helping clamp down on the illicit industry.

Tamasin Ford reports from Abidjan.
