What became of former Woolworths stores?

It is five years since the UK high street lost one of its most famous chains, Woolworths.

So what has happened to the retailer's empty stores since 2009?

Retail analyst Graham Soult, says copycat stores which replaced Woolworths have been struggling.

He told BBC Radio 5 live's Breakfast: "Quite a lot of independents have tried and failed to replicate old Woolworths formula... about one in six ex-Woolies stores are already onto their second or more post-Woolies occupant."
