UK economy: Burden must be spread fairly, says Nick Clegg

A further £25bn spending cuts - much of it from the welfare budget - will be needed after the next election, Chancellor George Osborne has warned.

But Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg said that tackling the deficit needed to be done fairly and that it was necessary to ask "people with the broadest shoulders to make a contribution".
