30 July 2013 Last updated at 01:13 BST

Online shopping is on the rise across the Asia Pacific region - along with the rest of the globe.

PayPal, which allows money transfers and payments to be made online - an alternative to using cheques or money orders, is one company that is cashing in on this trend.

Its president, David Marcus, spoke to the BBC's Rico Hizon to explain what the challenges are for the company as it expands across Asia.

He also talked about the sensitivities surrounding a business that deals with people's private financial information.
