'Bewildering' energy tariffs need shake-up - Which?

Help

Consumer group Which? has welcomed calls for "petrol station forecourt" pricing for gas and electricity.

EDF Energy said it would consider introducing a system for single-unit pricing to help consumers compare tariffs as easily as they currently shop around for petrol.

But the energy regulator Ofgem said the proposed scheme would not be as easy to implement as it might appear.

Richard Lloyd from Which? said: "If we don't have these changes... we'll just carry on as we are".
