Employers in China's wealthy eastern cities are under growing pressure to keep their employees - and their families - happy.

The rising cost of living and family pressure to return home and settle down are prompting many young workers to turn their backs on the bright lights of the big cities.

The co-owner of one Beijing pizza chain, Gung Ho, is going to unusual lengths to retain his employees,
